We remember the Welcome to the King of Cipros' Bride, Caterina Cornaro, who renounced her Throne in favour of Venice.
Today, during the Regatta Storica on the Grand Canal there's a parade of historical boats and after the parade, the Regattas begin with different kind of typical Venetian boats.
SUNDAY the program starts from 4.00 pm with the parade along the Grand Canal by historical crafts with costumed crews, boats and gondolas of the Venetian rowing associations (Voga alla Veneta)
Then on with the races:
- Maciarele and Schie regatta: two oared regatta on mascarete dedicated to children
- Young rower's twin-oared
